There’s no easy answer to this one (and no one wants to be hanging around longer than they need to) – it can take as little as 20 minutes or more than 12 hours, depending on the size of your battery and the speed of the charging point.
- As a rule of thumb, a typical electric car (60kW Wh battery) will take around an hour to charge from empty to full with a 50kW charging point.
- Lots of our customers find it’s more efficient to ‘top up’ rather than wait for a full recharge.
- The bigger the battery/the slower the charging point, the longer it takes to charge.
