You can use your Be.EV member RFID card (which looks a lot like a credit card) or any of our roaming network partner RFID cards on any of our chargers.
The process is different for each, so we have included the simple steps for each charger type below.
How to use your RFID card on a Kempower charger (Ultra-rapid 150kW+)
- Step 1: Plug in the connector to your EV and hold steady for a moment.
- Step 2: Present your RFID card to the RFID reader (located just below the screen). Once your payment is approved charging will soon begin.
- Step 3: To stop charging, ensure your EV is unlocked and select your connector on the charger screen and press 'stop'. If requested, re-present your RFID card to the RFID reader.
How to use your RFID card on a Raption 150 charger (Ultra-rapid 150kW)
- Step 1: Touch screen to start and select the RFID card payment option on screen
- Step 2: Present your RFID card to the RFID reader
- Step 3: Select the connector on-screen you wish to use
- Step 4: Plug in the connector to your EV and hold steady for a moment and then press start on screen and charging will soon begin
- Step 5: To stop charging, ensure your EV is unlocked and select your connector on the charger screen. If requested, re-present your RFID card to the RFID reader and then press 'stop' and unplug.
How to use your RFID card on a Raption 50 charger (Rapid 50kW)
- Step 1: Touch screen to start and select the RFID card payment option on screen
- Step 2: Present your RFID card to the RFID reader
- Step 3: Select the connector on-screen you wish to use
- Step 4: Plug in the connector to your EV and hold steady for a moment and then press start on screen and charging will soon begin
- Step 5: To stop charging, ensure your EV is unlocked and select your connector on the charger screen. If requested, re-present your RFID card to the RFID reader and then press 'stop' and unplug.
How to use your RFID card on an Evolve charger (Fast 22kW)
- Step 1: Plug in your cable to the charge point socket and your EV
- Step 2: Tap your RFID card on the RFID reader until your hear a 'beep'
- Step 3: To stop charging, ensure your EV is unlocked and re-tap your RFID card on the RFID reader.
- Step 4: Unplug your cable from your EV and the charge point (if the cable feels locked in, ensure the charge session has stopped on the charger screen, then lock and unlock your EV three times)
