When it comes to rapid charging, there are two types of connectors - CHAdeMO and CCS. These are rapid-charging DC sockets, which allow for faster charging. These chargers have the cables tethered, which means you don’t have to use your own – all you have to do is choose the correct one that fits your car.
Unfortunately, as both cables are used for DC charging, only one can be used at any time to deliver the quickest charge possible. However, if another car is already using one of these cables, you can still attach the cable that came with your car to the AC connector on the side of the charging units to charge your car at the same time. It will charge at a slower rate, though.
